Maleia is made from high-quality metals, along with great attention to detail. We use 14k gold-fill, sterling silver, sterling silver with electro-gold plating, brass with 14k and 18k gold plating, we also have our new sustainable, waterproof jewelry with pvd plating.

14k gold-fill is extremely durable. It is 14k gold that is chemically bonded to sterling silver or brass. It is safe for people with most allergies. Easy to clean with gentle soap and water. Sterling silver (.925) should be kept away from moisture while it is not being worn, as it will tarnish quickly. Keeping it in an airtight sealed baggy will prevent it from tarnishing. It is easily polished with a jewelry cloth. 

 Cleaning your 14k gold-plated jewelry is important to prolong its life. Use gentle liquid soap and water. Avoid any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Avoid brushing or rubbing the plated jewelry.

 Our new waterproof jewelry collection needs minimal care. We do ask that you keep it away from chlorine, perfumes, body and hair sprays. Please do not wear while using cleaning products of any kind.

The 14k gold plating we use we lasts for long periods of time, if you take care of your jewelry. It is always best to take your 14k gold-plated jewelry off while doing vigorous exercise, showering, swimming or sleeping. It is also best to be mindful that you do not spray hairspray or perfumes around your jewelry.

Opals, emeralds and pearls need a little bit of extra care as they are soft and can easily be scratched.
