Jewelry Care Guide

Every piece from Maleia is made using high-quality metals and thoughtfully selected gemstones. With a little care, your jewelry will remain beautiful for years to come.

Sterling Silver (.925)
Sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time, especially when exposed to moisture or air. To prevent tarnish, store your silver pieces in an airtight bag when not in use. If tarnishing occurs, gently polish with a soft jewelry cloth. Avoid wearing silver in pools, hot tubs, or while using cleaning products.

10k, 14k & 18k Yellow Gold
Solid gold is durable and resistant to tarnish, but it still benefits from gentle care. Clean with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth. To preserve its shine, avoid contact with harsh chemicals, perfumes, hairsprays, and abrasive surfaces. We recommend removing gold jewelry before swimming, exercising, or sleeping to prevent wear.

Gemstone Care
Our pieces feature a range of precious and semi-precious gemstones, each with its own care needs:

• Pearls, Opals & Emeralds are delicate and porous. Avoid soaking them or exposing them to heat, harsh cleaners, or acids (including perfumes and hairsprays). Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth after wearing and store separately to prevent scratching.

• Diamonds, Sapphires & Other Semi-Precious Gemstones are more durable but still benefit from gentle handling. Clean with mild soap and water using a soft cloth to dry your pieces, avoiding ultrasonic cleaners for softer stones.
